Welcome Pack

With our welcome pack you have all you need for your first morning. This includes bread, milk, butter, cereals, jam, marmalade, tea, coffee, sugar, sweetener, biscuits, hot chocolate and a home made cake.  Toiletries are also provided.

A beautifully converted Barn with character set in the boundaries of a 300 year old grade II listed farm house in the peaceful rural village of Old South Hykeham.

The Barn conversion features a wood burner in the open plan lower floor, a mezzanine level overlooking the lounge serves as a comfortable dining area. There is a well equipped kitchen on the ground floor, which has a full electric fan oven and grill, a microwave oven, 4 ring ceramic hob, full size dishwasher, separate fridge and freezer.

The old apple loft serves as the master bedroom which has a luxurious king size bed, there is an ensuite toilet and basin, as well as a feature roll top bath in the upstairs bedroom.

The second bedroom located downstairs is a twin room with two single beds. A large downstairs wet room complements the second bedroom.

We are located within a short drive to the City of Lincoln with its famous Cathedral, Castle, and array of local attractions including the Lincolnshire show ground not to mention the famous display team the Red Arrows. With the Castle exhibition of the Magna Carta. Newark is also only a 10 minute drive with its picturesque town centre and show ground, Swinderby antiques fairs are even closer.

There is parking available for one car and a dedicated decking area and lawn with BBQ and patio table, chairs and parasol, screened with bamboo. Wifi is available for guests free of charge.

The Barn is self-catering and a welcome pack is provided, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, bread and a home made cake.

The barn is suitable for children over 5 years of age, we are happy to accept younger children but we have not childproofed the property. We have a travel cot and highchair also available for use. 

We do have a cottage available for rent which has a hot tub, if both properties are booked together then the hot tub can be used by both groups for a small supplement

Thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. The converted barn had everything we needed, it was cosy and comfortable - especially the bed! Karen and Jim are fantastic hosts, helpful and accommodating. They provided a welcome pack (which was most appreciated) and a comprehensive list of places to visit with recommendations for restaurants and bars in and around Lincoln. We would definitely consider returning for another stay and would recommend it to others.

Just returned from a 2 night stay and had an amazing stay. The photos don't do it justice! It's possibly the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in. The property is very luxurious, from the design/fixtures etc to the thoughtful touches (cake, bread, milk tea/coffee). The robes and lovely toiletries were also a very nice touch. The barn is in a lovely peaceful spot with lots of lovely walks straight from the door. We walked to Aubourn through he fields and had a meal at the pub there one night, highly recommend! Both of the hosts were very friendly and super helpful with recommendations. 100% recommend booking, you won't be disappointed!

In August I took my Mum home to Lincoln to visit family and friends - yet another wonderful stay at Church Farm Barn. This was our 4th visit over the last few years and the first time with our dog. Lovely peaceful location with plenty of nice walks in and around the village. Perfect for visiting Lincoln city and plenty of good, dog-friendly pubs in the surrounding villages. Karen and Jim are fabulous hosts - kind, warm and very friendly. Their lovely welcome pack was much appreciated, as always. Accommodation beautifully clean, comfortable and met all our needs. Private parking is a great bonus. I would 100% recommend - our only 'go to' Airbnb in Lincoln and we have already booked to return next summer - can't wait.
